HSC Economics REVISION Workshop

The HSC Economics Revision workshops provide a review of each HSC Economics course topic – The Global Economy, Australia's Place in the Global Economy, Economic Issues and Economic Management.

Each workshop will present a clear overview of the key issues in the course. Strong emphasis is placed on analysing how all of these important concepts interact - giving a better appreciation of the 'big picture'.

HSC Economics EXAM STRATEGY Workshop

It's not enough just to know a lot of Economics content. Ultimately, students knowledge is measured by how well they can communicate in the exam room. Many students know a lot, but find the task of writing high-scoring HSC Economics exam answers is the most challenging part of the HSC Economics course. Often students who get consistently high marks in the multiple choice and short answer sections of the exam fail to score high marks in their extended responses.

The focus of the Exam Strategy workshop is to give you new ideas for strategy and technique. Without learning any more information, you will find that you can improve your results. This workshop will teach you:

• to create top-notch extended responses
• extensive writing tips, including the use of introductions, conclusions, quotes and statistics
• keys to getting more out of your studies

HSC ADVANCED Economics Workshop

This Workshop is targeted to high academic achievers and includes secrets for success from recent successful HSC students, including how to:

• differentiate your answers from other top students
• integrate current economic developments in the global economy and Australian economy into your answers
• revision of advanced economic concepts to maximise marks in extended responses

Year 11 Economics Workshop

The Year 11 Economics Workshop is held at the end of Term 2 for students studying the preliminary economics course. It is designed to give students an overview of the upcoming topics of Financial Markets and Government Policy in the preliminary course, as well as reviewing essential theory and its application, and the topic of Labour Markets. This workshop focuses on putting economic issues in the context of the Australian economy, and giving students the most up-to-date information about the state of the economy in preparation for their preliminary exams. This workshop:

• Previews essential content for the preliminary exams
• Links your economics knowledge of economic theory to current issues in the Australian economy
• Gives you an overview of economic management issues
• Introduces Leading Edge's exam strategies for success in your preliminary exams

Introductory HSC Economics Workshop

The Introductory Workshop is held at the end of Term 3 for Year 11 students begining Year 12. It is designed to help students enter the HSC course with the Leading Edge. This workshop:

• Introduces you to the format of the HSC
• Links your economics knowledge from the Preliminary course to the HSC course
• Gives you an overview of Topic 1 of the HSC Course - The Global Economy
• Explains the differences in the skills you need to succeed in the HSC course
